How does a headhunter work?

Our headhunters, also known as personnel consultants, specialise in the recruitment and placement of highly qualified specialists and managers for specific sectors and positions. In the following, Ingo Scheider, Managing Director of Kontrast Personalberatung GmbH, explains how our headhunting company works to fill management positions and other vacancies for clients from industry, SMEs, engineering and the public sector throughout Germany.

Needs analysis and mandate acceptance

The process begins with a thorough needs analysis in which the client's specific requirements and expectations are analysed in detail. This phase includes discussions with the client to develop a deep understanding of the corporate culture, strategic goals and specific challenges of the position to be filled.

Strategy development

Based on the needs analysis, Kontrast Personalberatung develops a customised search strategy. This strategy takes into account not only the professional qualifications and experience of the candidates, but also their personal competences and cultural fit with the client.

Identifying and approaching candidates

The search for suitable candidates is conducted via various channels, including direct contact, the use of professional networks and databases and the use of social media. Particular emphasis is placed on discretion and compliance with ethical standards.

Pre-selection and evaluation

The applications received are carefully scrutinised and a pre-selection is made. Potential candidates are evaluated in interviews and by means of special assessment procedures to ensure that they meet the client's requirements.

Presentation of candidates

The most suitable candidates are presented to the client, accompanied by detailed profiles and recommendations on the candidates' suitability. Ingo Scheider emphasises the importance of transparent communication between all parties involved to support the decision-making process.

Support during the selection process and contract negotiations

Kontrast Personalberatung accompanies the final selection interviews and provides support during contract negotiations. Even after the successful placement, the company remains in contact with both parties in order to promote the successful integration of the candidate into the company.
