The Target Profile for the Public Health Officer

Candidates must be licensed doctors of human medicine and preferably have experience in the public health sector. Ideally, applicants should also have completed further training as a specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine - but this is not a prerequisite.
Duties as a Doctor in the Paediatric and Adolescent Medical Service
The district administration offers its residents a variety of services and performs diverse and demanding tasks in the areas of youth, social affairs, public safety, health and education. The health department is responsible for protecting and promoting the health of the population.
Accordingly, the public health officer will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of health promotion measures for children and adolescents. Furthermore, the licensed medical doctor will carry out examinations for school entry and advise guardians and institutions on the topics of health promotion and prevention. In addition, interdisciplinary cooperation in working groups and with other cooperation partners in the health, education and social sectors is one of the core tasks.
The Job in the Health Department
The district administration offers a job for the vacancy directly in the centrally located health office of the district with good public transport connections.
The permanent, full-time position as a doctor in the paediatric and adolescent medical service is remunerated according to pay group 15 of the collective agreement for the public service - a labour market bonus above the collective agreement is possible. In addition, the office offers flexible working hours, the option of home office days as well as further education and training through internal and external offers.
